Curriculum

The Magic Bus Sport for Development Curriculum specializes in empowering children to take ownership of the questions and answers that arise out of the activities.  These activities are designed to be a sequence of experiential learning activities that are constructed to lead to a specific set of outcomes.  The curriculum is a sequential series of activities that come together to form a robust program for children from age 7 to age 16.

A similar "Train the Trainers" curriculum has also been developed that teaches the fundamentals and basics of how to deliver such a program.  This manual is trained by our team of Master Trainers in Mumbai and is delivered to the Training and Monitoring Officers, Youth Mentors, and Community Sports Coaches across India.

Trainer's Manual Example - Part 1 of 3

The developmental theory is outlined for the instructor so that he or she is aware of the outcomes that are being addressed in the activity.

Trainer's Manual Example - Part 2 of 3

The activity is detailed through instructions and graphically. A list of key questions and notes are listed so the instructor knows what to observe and address in the wrap-up.

The guidelines for facilitation of the wrap-up session and discussion sequence are outlined here. These outcomes serve as the foundation of next week's session.

The activity is graphically displayed along with notes that the instructor should look out for as discussion topic during the wrap-up, where the key questions are covered.

The activity is methodically laid out so that it can be understood and administered by a young adult without a strong educational background.
