Life Skills
The Magic Bus Life Skills Program helps adolescents in underserved communities develop the essential skills needed to succeed in school and prepare for adulthood.
The program serves students ages 11 to 18 and is delivered in schools and community settings. It focuses on building 11 key life skills across three areas:
Cognitive Skills – decision-making, problem-solving, and critical thinking
Emotional Skills – self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience
Social Skills – communication, teamwork, empathy, and relationship-building
Through structured weekly sessions, trained mentors use interactive activities and real-life scenarios to teach students how to manage peer pressure, stay in school, build confidence, and set goals for the future.
The program is designed to improve academic engagement, reduce dropout rates, and lay the foundation for long-term success in higher education, improved self agency, employment, and life.
