POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for managing donor communications, maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, and supporting accounting and reporting functions. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and proactive, eager to contribute to donor engagement and organizational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Routine Communications:
• Send Letters of Acknowledgment (LoAs), tax receipts, invoices, invitations, thank you letters, birthday and donor anniversary messages.
• Manage routine donor and pipeline communications using Mailchimp and other platforms.
• Ensure timely and professional correspondence with donors and stakeholders.
• Database Management:
• Maintain and update donor records in Salesforce.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity for all donor and fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with team members to segment and target donor communications.
• Accounting & Reporting:
• Support accounting and book-keeping activities using QuickBooks.
• Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation for fundraising events and donor contributions.
• Work with the finance team to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial records.
• Collaboration & Growth:
• Partner with the Regional Director – South to streamline processes and innovate donor engagement strategies.
• Participate in planning and execution of fundraising events as needed.
• Seek opportunities for professional development and expanded responsibilities.
• Willingness to work outside the job description.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in event management, nonprofit management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in communications and database management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with South Asian culture and communities.
• A passion for social impact and a desire to contribute to a growing nonprofit organization.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for planning impactful events, leading outreach initiatives, and
cultivating strategic partnerships—including with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs). This role also includes managing and
mentoring a Marketing Intern to support community engagement and outreach goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Event Planning:
• Organize and execute community events, workshops, and engagement activities.
• Coordinate logistics, develop event concepts, and ensure successful implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maximize event impact and participation.
• Marketing Intern Management:
• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to the Marketing Intern.
• Delegate tasks, set goals, and support professional development.
• Ensure alignment of intern activities with broader community engagement strategies.
• Outreach & Partnership Development:
• Lead outreach efforts to expand the organization’s presence in the community.
• Cultivate new partnerships and relationships with high-net-worth individuals to support fundraising and engagement.
• Represent the organization at external events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
