26.2 Miles Is One Day. The Work Takes Years.

On November 1, 2026, five runners will take on the TCS New York City Marathon for Magic Bus USA.

They are running for kids in India whose path to a first real job starts years before the first interview. Magic Bus meets them around age 12 and stays with them into their twenties, helping them build the confidence, skills, education, and experience they need to create their own livelihood.

Marathon day may last a few hours, but the work your donation supports is built to last much longer.

The Work Starts Long Before the First Job

More than 25 years ago, Magic Bus learned that helping someone get a job was only part of the equation.

Young people also need the confidence, communication skills, resilience, and preparation to succeed once that opportunity arrives.

That is why Magic Bus starts earlier and stays involved longer, supporting kids through education, mentorship, life skills, and career preparation as they move toward adulthood and work.

The result is a path built over time, with each stage preparing them for what comes next.

Connecting Your Support to the Work

The marathon takes place in New York, while the programs your donation supports take place in India.

Magic Bus USA helps close that distance by connecting donors more directly to the work, the people behind it, and the progress their support helps make possible.

A donation to Team Magic Bus helps fund the programs and staff supporting kids as they move through school, build practical skills, and prepare for meaningful employment.

What Are They Running Toward?

A kid staying in school when leaving feels easier.

A teenager learning how to speak up in a room that once intimidated them.

A graduate walking into an interview prepared to earn the opportunity in front of them.

A first-time earner bringing home a paycheck they worked for themselves.

Those moments do not happen because of one intervention. Magic Bus has spent more than 25 years developing an approach that stays with kids through multiple stages of their lives. That work has now reached more than one million young people.

The Finish Line Is Only the Beginning

On November 1, our runners will have 26.2 miles in front of them. The kids that Magic Bus works with have a much longer road ahead.

Your donation helps make sure they have the skills, support, and opportunities to keep moving forward.
